Health, Safety & Environment

Since KWH Constructors was founded in 1989, health, safety and the environment have each been established as key success factors. Our company is committed to attain clearly defined objectives within each of these three key areas. This commitment is incorporated into our corporate policies and daily business processes undertaken. It has complete vertical involvement; from senior management, office employees to field crews.

KWH provides a range of construction services and often these are “turn-key” services. All designs, procedures, value engineering, fabrication, detailing and installation services reflect a total commitment to HS&E.

KWH Constructors is a bonded and unionized construction firm with an excellent safety record. KWH is affiliated with several international unions, including among others, ironworkers and operating engineers.

KWH’s objective is to develop and maintain an effective program for the safe provision of services to its clients. The Company’s health, safety and environmental policy states:

“Each employee is entitled to a safe working environment, free from recognized health and safety hazards. Every effort is made in the interest of accident prevention to provide safe and healthy working conditions, and to eliminate hazards that can cause injury to workers or damage to property and equipment. Accident prevention is every employee’s responsibility. Supervisory personnel and employees are therefore accountable for the safe operation of the work. Employees have a responsibility to themselves, their families, and to their fellow workers to conduct themselves safely. Employees must observe and adhere to all safety rules and instructions relating to safe and efficient work habits. The control and prevention of accidents requires the dedicated participation of all employees, as well as continuous scrutiny by managers and supervisors, in order to make the program effective and successful.”
