Location: Seattle, WA Contract Value:

The large steel curved box girders were erected at a busy intersection of I-90 in Seattle, WA. The tubs were 16 feet wide at the top. KWH used their four-way expandable 100-ton spreader beams to pick these girders two at a time. Doing so avoided the need for shoring. In the wetland areas, the cranes were positioned on finger trestles specifically installed from lift layouts. The girders that crossed directly over I-90 were erected during nighttime freeway closures over a single weekend.
