Bollinger Canyon Road - Iron Horse Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing

The Bollinger Canyon Road – Iron Horse Trail Bicycle/Pedestrian Overcrossing is a 6-span cable-stayed pedestrian and bicycle overcrossing to create grade separation for the Iron Horse Trail over Bollinger Canyon Road. The project was procured using the CM/GC contracting method with KWH performing the work as a subcontractor to Myers-Shimmick, A Joint Venture. KWH Constructors, Inc. completed erection of the steel center pylons, bridge bearings, steel superstructure, stay cables, and precast deck panels according to the erection manual prepared by KWH subsidiary, Somerset Construction Engineering. The project was KWH’s first construction project performed in California.
