Gitwinksihlkw Bridge

Nass River, Northern British Columbia

Project Description

This bridge crosses the Nass River in northern B.C. The north side was inaccessible to heavy equipment, therefore KWH launched the 102m main span from the south side using a 39m temporary nose.

The launch distance was shortened by leaning a false bent 15m from the north pier and tying it back.
